How to Price Off Menu Products

Used when pricing limited time items or pop stores, bulk orders, and on-demand items outside of the base collection. You can price these using the Off-Menu Pricing Calculator found in the Product Pricing List to ensure consistent, margin-appropriate pricing across all program types.

What You'll Need Before You Price

1. Product Cost The base cost of the item. Pull from the Product Pricing List or supplier website.

2. Decoration Cost Account for all decoration plus applicable setup fees. See guidance below.

3. Price Point vs. Premium Product Determines which multiplier to apply.

4. Bulk vs. On Demand Determines which multiplier to apply.

Pricing Multipliers

Pricing Formula

Retail Price = (Product Cost × Multiplier) + Deco Cost

Do not apply the multiplier to decoration, it already includes margin.

Setup Fees for Screen Print

Screen print setup fees are $25 per color, per design and must be included in your deco cost. Because setup fees are a flat charge spread across the order quantity, convert them to a per-unit cost before adding to deco.

 Formula:

Total Setup Fee ÷ Order Quantity = Per-Unit Setup Fee

Example — Bulk Price Point: Sport-Tek PosiCharge Tee (ST350)

Custom Off-Menu Items

Custom off-menu products require a master to be designed for client review before moving forward.

Before You Price:

  1. Check the Custom Off-Menu Products sheet in the Product Pricing List to see what masters are currently available.
  2. If your product isn't listed, either consider an alternative product or reach out to your Ticket Manager for lead times on building a new master.

Pricing Custom Decoration:

  • Treat customization as a second decoration location when calculating deco cost.
  • If screen printing a reversible product, charge for both sides — do not treat it as a single location.

Jersey Numbers via Screen Print:

  • MOQ of 24 units
  • $7.00 per location regardless of quantity


Best Practices

  • For on-demand programs, confirm whether the off-menu item is available through FE (See Product Selection Article) or will be offered as a Pop-Up.
  • For bulk/team orders, ensure inventory is available in requested sizes at the time of quoting.
  • Always document off-menu pricing in HubSpot on the relevant deal record.
  • If you're unsure whether a product qualifies as price point or premium, check with a teammate.
