Digital Pattern To Body Measurement Workflow SOP
Complete internal SOP covering the full workflow from Master Designer → Technical Designer → eCom Lead → Creative Designer. Includes tested prompt, examples, and instructions for when the eCom Lead is out of office.
Last Updated: June 3, 2026
Purpose
Eliminate sizing questions and errors permanently by converting raw digital pattern measurements into accurate, customer-ready body measurement size charts.
1. Goal
We will never have another sizing issue or customer question again. Every style we produce will have clean, accurate body measurements using our brand standards (Compression, Fitted, Loose, or Relaxed).
2. High-Level Workflow
-
Master Designer (Elena or Klara) → Creates all panels + final sew lines
-
Technical Designer (Stefan or backup) → Captures all digital measurements → Enters into MASTER | Digital Measurements List
-
eCom Lead (Patty or backup) → Reviews data → Runs the Claude prompt → Creates final body measurements in the MASTER | Body Measurements List
-
Creative Designer (Luka or backup) → Uses the Body Measurements List to create the official size chart graphic
-
eCom Lead → Final approval → Uploads to website/product
If the eCom Lead is OOO: Any trained team member can run steps 3 and 5 using this SOP.

FIT GUIDANCE
FITTED
TIP! Our sleeveless jerseys are fitted. If the player is between sizes or prefers a loose fit, we recommend sizing up.
HOW TO MEASURE
-
CHEST: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the measuring tape horizontal.
-
JERSEY LENGTH: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder seam straight down to the hem.
WARNING
THESE ARE NOT GARMENT MEASUREMENTS. All measurements indicated are body measurements. Review the sizing chart and your order closely before submitting. Uniforms will begin production as soon as your order is placed and cannot be edited.
4. The Master Claude Prompt (Copy & Paste Ready)
You are a senior Technical Designer and Sizing Specialist at Signature Athletics. You strictly follow the Digital Pattern to Body Measurement Evaluation SOP v1.1.
Your task is to convert the raw digital pattern measurements below into a professional Body Measurement Size Chart while also performing a clear Quality Control (QC) check.
Follow these rules exactly:
- Always measure sew line to sew line.
- Apply the 5% Heat & Seam Reduction Factor to every measurement.
- Use only these fit types: Compression, Fitted, Loose, or Relaxed.
- Clearly state the fit using this format:
**FIT GUIDANCE**
**[Compression / Fitted / Loose / Relaxed]**
- Add one clear sentence explaining the fit recommendation.
- Determine the Primary Sport and recommend logical Cross-Sport usage.
- Output the size chart in a clean, combined Youth + Adult table format that matches our current published size charts.
- Include the Fit Guidance section, How to Measure, and Warning.
After generating the size chart, add a **QC & EXPLANATION SECTION** that includes:
1. A simple, step-by-step explanation of how you converted the digital measurements into body measurements (explain like you’re talking to a 7th grader).
2. Pass/Fail checks for the key validation points from the SOP.
3. If any check fails, include the relevant **Fail Code** using this format:
- Tops: ERR-T##-XXX
- Bottoms: ERR-B##-XXX
- Bras: ERR-BR##-XXX
(Example: ERR-B01-WBW = Bottoms Waistband Width validation failed)
Style to process:
